I'm trying to get an idea of how many pilots we are going to see.

So far we have some nice raffle prizes and today I secured a kick butt sound system for the Smack Down contest.

Speaking of the Contest is anyone planning to participate in the Smack Down?

Our plans was to setup the field tonight but the rain ruined those plans. I'm sure we can use the extra hands on Sat morning. I'm hoping to get there by 730am.

Shoot... looking at the weather now it shows the rain should stop by 6pm tomorrow night. If so maybe we'll try to get the big tent tomorrow afternoon and perhaps meet at the field around 7pm to setup the tent and get the field ready.

I'll second the motion...

I had an absolute blast! After a week of dreadful weather, we couldn't have scripted a better day. I am writing up a bit of a "post event recap" and will post it to our club's website. This will include pictures and video. I will link the URL here when I get this done. Anyone that may have taken pictures, please let me know and I'll incorporate.

We are already planning on what to do next year - as we consider this experiment a success. Thanks to everyone that attended.

Steve - a special "shout out" for pushing me on the 600 maiden :cool: - I really appreciate your words of encouragement and assistance. It meant/means a lot.

As for the Event on the 10th, I will be out of town and unable to make it over :sign0171: - I was really hoping to come by and actually fly a bit more, oh well, there's always next year.

So people know what's being talked about, The Indy RC Helicopter club is having their first annual funfly on Saturday October 10th. The field is located at 1092 West 156th street between SpringMill rd and Ditch Rd in Westfield. Flying starts at 9AM. $10.00 Pilot fee. That includes lunch.

We hope the weather will be as good as Saturday's. Don't plan on any smackdown competition or that great sound system, we're just having a gathering for some flying, fun and fellowship.
